Essential Oils as Dietary Supplements

Essential Oils as Dietary Supplements

Essential oils are often most effective when taken orally and in very small amounts.  Oils should always be diluted in vegetable oil, blue agave nectar, or rice milk prior to ingestion.  Some Essential Oils can be used as spices or flavoring to enhance recipes. For recipes serving 6 to 10 people, adding 1 to 2 drops of oil after cooking and right before serving, is sure to enrich your favorite recipes.  Adding oil after cooking, just prior to serving, will help to eliminate oil evaporation.  Essential Oils that are Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) or certified as Food Additives (FA) may safely be taken as dietary supplements, but only under the direction of a knowledgeable health professional.

As dietary supplements Essential Oils may:
  • aid in digestion
  • enhance food flavors
  • support the immune system
  • act as an antiviral, anti-parasitic, antifungal, antibacterial, or anti-inflammatory agent
  • balance intestinal flora
  • absorb toxins
  • support the nervous system
  • aid in digestion
  • support glandular systems

Aromatherapy - Direct and Diffused Inhalation

Aromatherapy - Direct and Diffused Inhalation

Aromatherapy is the inhalation of plant oils (called Essential Oils) for improved physical, mental and emotional well-being.  Rather than masking odors, diffused oils alter the structure of the molecules that create odors.  They also increase oxygen availability, produce negative ions and release natural ozone.

Research shows that cold-air Diffusers like our Young Living Essential Oil Nebulizers and Diffusers may reduce bacteria, fungus mold and odors; relax the body, relieve tension and help to clear the mind, assist in weight management, improve concentration, alertness and mental clarity, stimulate neurotransmitters, stimulate secretion of endorphin's, stimulate growth hormone production and receptivity, improve digestive function, improve hormonal balance and relieve headaches.
